First of all, your post could use a little formatting help. Those interview questions you copied and pasted are quite difficult to read.

Secondly, allnurses.com is allnurses.com, not someone-do-my-homework-for-me.com. The purpose of these interviews is to get you out there, outside of your comfort zone, and talking to a real nurse. This forum is public; anyone can join and post whether they are a nurse or not. There is no way for you to guarantee that the person answering your questions is truly an informatics nurse and not Joe Schmoe who got bored looking for a job and is now messing with people on the internet. Also, this takes the interviewing element completely out of the "interview" you propose. I have had the same assignment to interview a nurse in my nursing education tract. While the interview covered the information necessary for the assignment, being able to talk to someone in person allowed for going off on tangents. I learned so much more from that interview by doing the footwork to find a real person to talk to than I could have learned by copying and pasting my assignment on an anonymous message board.

Thirdly, you stated

work in facility that all departments are headed by LPNs except the DON and ADON.

Where have you tried to interview a nurse outside of your facility? There are many places you can try: the local public health office, local hospitals, and many other places.

@ Rose_Queen this is my first go at posting to this type of forum and thanks for you input and honesty. To politely put it you did not contribute any usable information in regards to the assignment.

Rose queen is right. You can't (and shouldn't) go to an online forum to "interview a nurse" you don't know who you're actually talking to. They may not even be a nurse!!

Maybe you can call some hospitals in your area or elsewhere and set up a telephone interview with their informatics nurse. Or maybe get their email.... Just saying this isn't the place for "interviewing". You will see that if you search prior posts like yours :) good luck with your assignment!!

Look on LinkedIn for such individuals;

Allnurses is virtually a anonymous website; there's no way to verify one's credentials.

You may be able to get a more accurate response to your questions on LinkedIn.

Best Wishes.

While the information posted did not 'contribute usable information to the assignment'- it was valuable nonetheless. We get requests from students to do their homework all the time.

I never intended to give you "usable information in regards to the assignment" in the way you want. You cannot learn when someone spoonfeeds you answers while you do essentially no work. The value in this assignment is what you can learn by actually sitting down with a real person in a format that is not as rigid as simply us typing out responses that you can then merely copy and paste right into whatever you need to submit for the assignment. By sitting down with someone or even by speaking in the phone, there is much more flexibility that allows you to explore paths that can't be explored in the format of an online message board. Had I come to this message board when I needed to complete an interview, I never would have gotten the insight on transitioning from a staff nurse into an educator role, the stresses of changing jobs while in school, and many of the other tangents I had the opportunity to explore by sitting with a nurse educator and allowing the ability to immediately seek further information about comments made in response to the questions I asked to gain the information needed to compete my assignment.
