Why U.S.?? when there are others...

World Philippines

Published

hello fellow Phil. nurses...and maybe to other nationalities who read this...

I am just sooooo disapponted with my U.S quest....

I have exhausted all my efforts and money and time....just to bring my future to the U.S. of A....I am now wondering...why ? oh why?:bluecry1:

Come to think of it..maybe God has His way of telling me...I am not for the U.S. BECAUSEI have passed NCLEX, IELTS, CGFNS, have a visa screen and have received a requested CES... Paid so hard for all these. My everyday prayers has always been a retro lift and a faster movement of papers...It has been three years now... I want to say this now...

THere are a lot of countries, safer and much livable than U.S. that needs my services...can anyone else say ....the same thing too? Lets go !!!! anyone there who agrees with me?? just let me be aware...thats all...

I see that there aren't any facts in your post....and that's ok when you're misinformed...

I love how you guys in the USA accuse me of being misinformed when I tell you things going on here in the Philippines that you don't want to hear.

I'm telling you things that I hear with my own ears and see with my own eyes, this is not hearsay or conjecture or he-said she-said stuff this is based on one-on-one conversations with recruiters and hospital HR people and other assorted persons looking here in the Philippines for staff and wishing retrogression would end so they could get more Pinoy nurses.

Most big hospitals in the US have hiring freezes which means that they're not hiring ANYBODY at the moment....

Maybe not, but they are certainly planning for something in the very near future. Something is up and rather than browbeating me maybe you should filter the info to your union rep.

Maybe they're recruting in places like Beeville Texas, Bent fork Tennessee, Mayberry North Carolina, Marble City Oklahoma, and other places out in the middle of nowhere where nobody wants to live...

Since I grew up very near to Mount Airy, NC (the place Mayberry was patterned after) I take slight offense at that...

Maybe in the far future when the economy is more stable when foreign nurses will be needed...As of right now, it's not going to happen....That's a fact.

The staffing director I talked to on Friday is planning on 1000 nurses by the end of 2009 for one group of hospitals in Chicago. He already has an outstanding request and a deadline. Do you consider that the far future?

He, and others, are going through nurses who have retrogressed visas coming through the system soon but no contracts yet. There are a surprisingly large number of them.

my bestfriend is an american citizen, born here, grew up here, but went to college in the philippines ... he attended nursing school in the philippines and trained out of US ... he took the nclex and passed, now he is already working as a nurse here ... my brother's girlfriend is also a foreign graduate, came here under tourist visa, she was just visiting her relatives here, and also scheduled her nclex exam while she's here ... when she found out that she passed, she got hired easily and the hospital petitioned her to get green card, after 6months she already got her green card ...

it does not matter where you are trained in my opinion, as long as you entered the US legally and your stay here is legal, not expired I94 or not illegal immigrant, then you can get hired and there are a lot of hospitals that will petition you for green card as long as you pass your nclex and take ielts ... some hospitals might put you under contract, but my brother's girlfriend was not put under contract, so it was really nice ...

please don't advise filipino to get married for wrong reasons ... getting married is not an option to get a visa ...

marriage is a sacrament, and i am a filipino, and filipinos are very religious ... what you just said is just wrong ...

even if a person is having a hard time to get a visa and live his/her american dream ... marriage should not be an option ... even if she found an american to fall in love with ... they should get married based on love, not a hidden agenda of having a green card or fiance visa ...

please don't give other countries an excuse to disgrace filipinos ... there are a lot of very hard working filipinos that im sure will not agree with what you have just said ...:down::down:

tsk.. tsk.. tsk... i think i partly understand now where the growing resentment against Filipino nurses is coming from. me and my wife migrated to a country where they only think of a Filipina before as either a maid or a mail order bride and to tell you the truth, we worked hard to prove that these stereotypes are wrong.we worked hard to get to where we are today by following the rules and sticking to them without illegal shortcuts.

i would have pm'ed the young girl and knock some sense to her but unfortunately my pm function is out right now.

to go back to the topic.... before the credit crunch, we are contemplating on moving to somewhere sunny like australia, florida or california which is the reason why i ended up in this forum.but i guess that will be on hold for now.

petitioning an immediate family wont take long... if you know whats immediate... its a two year process or less... spouse,,,sons and daughters... brothers and sister... go check out visajourney.com and see those petitioning process...

YOu have to know more and think...

Ive seen this scenario.. this is an old game.. people marry due to greencard... I HOpe you know that.. . LOOKING FOR there american dream and getting a greendcard....

SO its marrigae greencard divorce.... So dont tell me... Everyone is not doing this... Everyone is doing to pay there price and immigration wont know at all.. Ive seen cases like this for a very long time and friends and relatives doing this to pay there price.....

She has no way of coming to the US... at alll..... and the US will go to so much economic cathastrophy... To much LOan and debt....

Karma wont hit you.... You are doing your own karma.... your own consequences.... Ill hit you with my carma....

Jobs are everywhere.... for medical... Yeah if you go to populous area or metro or big city.. there freezing... YOU DONT HAVE A CHOOSE YOU HAVE TO aDJUST WITH the jobs... jobs aint gonna adjust for you... Your looking for one.. so you should adjust your own way of getting it.....

She can still work in the nursing field taking test for CNA or LVN... senior homes are looking for them cause they pay less as a registered nurse does,,,

If you can go to the US... you can still apply witht those and take a test... You have to study further...

They dont here RN's in most nursing homes.. cause they pay twice as an LVn... then you can upgrade your education... Most of the people now are going to community college and tuitions are a lot cheaper... They still have good programs for RN.... so you can work on the hospital

Clinics are hiring also.. for nurse assistant... or nursing jobs...

Its not the end... Your hope of coming to the US... is in your decision...

Even immigration lawyers will tell you.. your option is to marry an american if you wanna stay in the US and get a permanent resident card....

Most immigration lawyers will tell you that... Thats your own way how to find and work out for a marriage....

Immigration wont even find out it was arriange marriage... Its just between two parties how they can keep it up.....

Are you that dumb telling homeland security i got married for greencard... So thats why where married.. THINK wisely.....

You can have evidences your staying together have financial obligations.... That a proof..

Will this girl cant apply for non-immigrant visa or tourist visa... She had cases with immigration with non-immigrant working visa...

If filipinos are religious.. I've seen lots of filipinos... doing this as there own way.. So dont tell me how filipinos would just go through a whole and dug inside of it and to making it easier for his sake...

Getting a nonimmigrant visa for tourist will take longer and huge chunk of money in your bank account and got to have a huge asset...

Its one's person's choice... If she wont then dont... If she will then go do it... Its her freedom... Her own choice... her own will and desire...

I really think you have something wrong in your understanding of immediate. When a sibling is petitioned for a GC from within the US ie you are a USC or GC then you are generally looking at over 10 years to be processed. Only a parent is petitioned a bit faster but can still take up to 12 months for them to get a GC. If the sibling is married and over 21 then it can take longer to get a GC.

This is the current figures on the VB on family

Unmarried Sons and Daughters of Citizens for the Philippines is July 93

Spouses and Children under 21 of permanent resident July 04

Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older)permanent resident Dec 97

Married Sons and Daughters of Citizens Jun 91

Brothers and Sisters of Adult Citizens May 86

ohh yeah i know that... ofcourse.. i just didnt mention about greencard and citizens...

yes if your greencard you can only petition your son or daughter below 21...

and parents.. brothers and sister... or neice or nephew thats out of the question..

yes if your USC then u can petition your parents children spouse brothers and sister...

I just didnt mention this too much cause this aint any immigration forum...

and suzanne here is talking about 15 year span which is insanely wrong...

Go ahead. Apply to those sites. Did you know that many places post job listings on those sites that do not exist just to get database information?

Did you know that a hospital with ONE open position may post as many as 15 slots to be able to get a lot of applicants and pick the best one?

Did you know if this thing doesnt exist.. Its considered felony and fraudulant also... You can file a case against this website if this aint true or not.. if they dont have proper explaination why it doesnt exist... You can sue them...

My husband gots lots of jobs in all this website... thats the most reliable source of getting jobs.. you might be out to date.. and still walking and looking at newspapers.. plus this jobsite has google earth...

well, with craigslist.. its a freesite anyone can play with you.. but still lost of people used craigslist looking for jobs apartments... selling... purchasing.. Its your own guts....

If companies wants cheaper way of marketing there jobs with no payment they will have to go with craigslist...
