hi pharm_bsn, we had our lesson about charting on our primary health care nursing 100, on our first semester when i was in second year. actually, our phc teacher may have been the same with yours too, she did not elaborate much on charting and she did not give us reference books from where we could find more examples of charting, she just gave us the examples, both on the narrative and the soapie. we just learned to make our chartings better from experiences on the ward.., it was really funny coz during our preclinical exposure...we were asked to make a sample charting on our ward notebooks..our chartings were full of red ink...from our clinical instructor's corrections...so in the process we learned to make them better, but that doesnt mean im telling you that you should just let it be...why dont you ask your clinical instructors themselves if they could show you which books are good when it comes to charting...or well like this you could ask the many great brains here...im sure later you will be flooded with suggestions...

peace out! rock on!

thanks raceii and hunterwoodz. with regards to charting, that's what happening to our group ryt now. we're just learning through actual experience...

i hope someone can suggest a good book.. thanks a lot!!!!!

any1 knows what "formulating objective care for the family?", primary health care is making me nuts! T-T

Hi guys! please help me...i am planning to take up nusring as my second course. i don't know where to study. i am from makati. i am thinking of STI, university of makati, AMA, global city innovative..please help me...

Try to choose the school that has a good quality when it comes to nursing, if you have a good foundation in nursing then you'll be somehow become a good nurse as well.

hi pharm bsn! ur welcome!:wink2: :wink2:, actually i have never heard of a book about charting for nurses... but well perhaps there is one right?...

poonam 25...hi! rn_crucial is right , why dont u choose the best nursing school around ur area, or if u are willing to go farther...the best nursing school in Luzon...there is a very tough competition on hiring these days.., and in additon there may be a lot of NLE takers but the passing rate is decreasing...so better pick the best ryt!? peace out! rock on

Hi! i'M a nursing student as well, here in phil, I'm currently 2nd year high (not 2nd courser though), it's totally hard for me to cope up in RLE in our RD, you see, i have a short-term memory, that's why, I'm really frustrated about my first RD,,, can any of u guys give me an advice how to enhance and be able to cope up my RD? It's tough but I'll give what I've got! =) I'm studying at Polytechnic College of Davao del Sur! =) Can u all be my friends? Please PM me.. thanks! =)

Hi to all,

I'm a student nurse too. second courser. I realized there's no future with business management. Btw, I am from Lanting and I will be graduating march 2006 too. I believe we are the first batch to take the new format of NLE. By topics na diba? I'm having problems with CHN. Right now I am more concern with NCLEX.. haay I don't know why. I'm all stressed out thinking bout it. A lot of people were telling me to take it one step at a time but i couldn't help myself from worrying. DO you guys have plans of going to US after grad? I have my tourist visa but I don't know if I should go there or if I should look for an employer here instead. Anyway goodluck to all of us.

hi may i know how did you apply for your tourist visa?..many thanks!!!have a nice day:saint:

all i can tell you is that, DO NOT EVER MEMORIZE IT, understand it, before from my first course i was used in memorizing but when i was in nursing we were told by our clinical instructor that never memorize, instead you need to understand it, ofcourse while understanding it you need to retain something in your head, heheheh... Lalo na sa NLE, walang memorize jan, all you need is to understand why did it came into that, kasi situational eh there are no objectives unless otherwise it is a bonus...

good luck:trout:

Hello Racell... I saw one at NBS glorietta, those made easy books.. forgot the exact title... Charting made easy.. something like that. I'm not sure whether to buy it though, i'm thinking that the approach might not be appropriate here in the philippines... But i myt be wrong...
