Can someone give comments and reviews regarding NEAC at St. Thomas square that caters to nclex application. Are they reliable and true to their words? Are the fees they are charging reasonable and worth it?

Is it better to do the application process yourself or is it more cost effective and less of a hassle if I avail of their services.:idea:

Hi.

I almost acquired their service for my NCLEX. But if you'll just take a closer look at the licensure process, from CGFNS CES to State application to Fingerprinting to NCLEX scheduling and exam, it's relatively easier than what you think.

Boards of Nursing and CGFNS have email addresses designated to answer inquiries or solve problems with your case, or if you have difficulty understanding the process. Also, their respective websites, and the forms that you will be needing, have step-by-step procedures or explanations of what to do, where to get this document, etc. And the best thing is all of these are free. You just need some time and patience.

You can also use different forums, like this one, to search or ask what others did on their application.

back in 2008, in a nursing expo i attended, i remember that they charge 3500php for submission of requirements, and then another fee for pearson vue registration... as for me, i handled everything alone. as in nobody to help me, some friends, yes. but i did all the research. read all the instructions in the websites. ofcourse they are reliable, that's why you pay them. but honestly, if you do it yourself, its a good feeling,plus you can save yourself or your parents, some money.

i availed their services because during that time i am still working and had no one to asked to. it was also during that time that vt updated the forms they are using. luckily, i didn't send my docs using the old form. i didn't mind paying the extra fees as long as i can concentrate on studying and they will process it for me.

Well i guess it depends on how busy you are. But all comments here are true. If you are busy and cant handle time management it would be wise to have someone do it for you... If you are financially stable. But if you are a student, it would be wise to go through the process online and read it line by line. Its easy to follow and yes you can save money. Always prepare ahead of time. So no surprises can hinder your application and plans.

They used to be a good service but the service changed over a year ago. They don't provide much of anything and they charge more for the fees.

US retrogression is so harsh now that you really do have time to prepare yourself.

Take a weekend, research to choose which state you will apply to (where you will live and work in the USA) and then download/read everything on the Board website for that state for international applicants.

Read carefully, follow all the instructions and you can do it yourself. Just take a whole weekend to focus on it and save your money.

Hi Hushdawg! I'm just wondering if NEAC provide services for International clients? I originally submitted my credentials at CA BON but due to concurrency issues i need to choose another state where i can be eligible! I tried to email them (NEAC) if they can assist me in my NCLEX application because i'm now in the US. but i'm still waiting for their response!

I cannot recommend that anyone use their services. A few years ago when I first became aware of their services they really were a full-service oriented organization but now the full burden of gathering and completing documents still falls upon the nurse applicant and so all you are really getting for your money is them filling out the state form and checking to see if you have all the papers and then use of their express shipper discount (which they should discount further since I have learned that they bundle multiple applications in a single packet yet charge each applicant a full shipping rate).

Seriously, take a day to focus on the application and you can do it yourself. NEAC staff won't go to chase after all your documents in the Philippines, you'll still have to ask family to do that so what is the point, really?

sorry for my words.. but my experience with that application center is a bit disappointing.. i suggest that if you have a target date or month to take your NCLEX, you better work and apply on your own.. that application center caters so many applicants that you will have to wait and wait.. it's just like you are in a long line, however, they have a so called priority applicant (which is paid for another fee).. at my own point of view, their service fees on every step of the application is way way too much.. it's really cheaper if you'll apply on your own.. with regards to the process.. CGFNS and the state board' s websites will provide all the necessary materials and forms you need.. for me it is really user friendly since they provide detailed instructions which the applicant can easily understand.

With the nursing immigration demand for America over and gone, taking the NCLEX might be a waste of time and effort. Wouldn't be surprising if the centers all over Asia would start closing down due to lack of customers. The retrogression is here to stay.

My experience with NEAC (the one at the St. Thomas Square, Manila) is good so far.. They always give you a call or sms once somethings up, whether its a change in your sched or your ATT has arrived, etc etc.. BUT! as far as their service charge is concerned, it cost a lot more than you can expect. You'll be paying over 1k for this and that... I think you'll be spending about 10k-15k for the whole process. I remember paying 500php for the quick result and another 500php for faster exam scheduling..

I regret availing their service. I thought it would make my application faster and hassle-free, but it didn't.

They didn't orient me with the process. They lack clear directions and they didn't update me my application. You still have to do follow-up and ask a lot of questions. In the end, you're still confused. I should have applied myself. I should have done my research earlier. Believe me! Your money is not worth it.
