Kuwait MOH

Hi,

I am new to this site and I found it very informative. This would be my first post. I would just like to know if anybody on this board wrote the Kuwait MOH exam last March 18 in PICC? I believe there were 3 agencies who facilitated the exam and interview. In my case I passed the exam and was interviewed by the Kuwait MOH delegates last March 24 at Diamond Hotel- Manila. The agency called me up informing me that I passed the interview and wait for further instructions for the next step. I would just like to hear how many of us are awaiting for possible deployment to Kuwait and any update as to your case will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

Hi I am new here, I would like to ask anybody to recommend a good Philippine Agency that are deploying nurses for Kuwait MOH. Practically those that offer Php 100K salary. Thank you. Blessed Happy New Year.

hi im new to this site because i tried to find a site that would help me regarding applying as a staff nurse for kuwait. The nearest agency on my location is BESTONE. they told me that i have to take the MOH exam supposed to be this coming february but i was advised that it was posponed because there is upcoming election on kuwait so it will be rescheduled after the election is done...so i still have time to prepare for the exam yet don't know where to start haven't read my book since i graduate and pass mu nursing board exam last 2007... so if anyone who have passed the exam especially the latest exam would you help me about what to study and what to expect on the written exam and oral interview...any details would help me a lot thank you...i am very anxious and nervous about this so i am asking for help thank you

hi dinx...

i am new to this site and someone told me to read all your post regarding the MOH for kuwait

and found it very informative and helpful...my agency is bestone because its the nearest agency in my location and it was my first time to apply as a staff nurse for abroad and choose kuwait to probably be hired but they told me that i have to passed first the MOH exam for kuwait written and oral interview but haven't read my books since i passed my board exam 2007, if you wont mind would you help me regarding the exam on what should i study.. i heard it was only 30 items yet nursing is very broad course so i don't know where to start and what to study so can you give me any idea or topic or any previous questions being asked on the written and oral interview based on your experienced and heard to others who have made it and passed the exam...please do help me it would be greatly appreciated

thank you and godbless hope you can answer me soon

my agency called me that i passed the interview and they said i should wait for further instruction. I think kuwait needs 200male nurses and 150female. I am not that sure. We have to wait for 2-3months for the visa processing that's what my agency told me.

hi im new to this site...im about to take the moh exam also this coming march hopefully...if you wont mind can you give me some hint on what to expect on the written exam specially on the oral interview hope you can help me to pass the exam also. thank you

How's everyone. I've been here in Kuwait for 2 weeks already. I do have my internet connection a week ago but been busy lately that's why I just checked in the forum just now.

I think what I have to post as updates had been said from our co-forumers who went here ahead of me, so they might just be redundant.

Anyway, to those who are applying for Kuwait, do your best and be positive coz it works like magnet and be patient with the waiting time. Kuwait is worth the long wait....

Hi, Celine. Welcome to the thread. The MOH exam comes in many sets (about 5-6 sets) so its hard to identify what certain area to concentrate with your review. Basically there are only 30 items with questions that covers most areas of nursing (MS, OB, Pedia, Nutrition, etc.). But the exam is very manageable, way much easier than the local board. Be sure to get 15 and above score since I think the passing score is 15. I am basing this in our exam last March 2011, I'm not sure though if they will still have the same pattern of exam.

Best of Luck to you. God Bless us nurses!

The exam is 30 items, it is a multiple choice type and all areas in nursing are somewhat covered. Passing score is 15. I cannot say it is hard because I got 23/30 score and passed while I cannot also say that it is easy because many also failed (about 60% of total examinees). The result of the exam is available hours after the exam but most probably the agency will inform you the day after the exam.

The interview ranges from very basic questions like "what is hemoptysis?" to somewhat complicated like "what is hepatic encephalopathy?" but generally I think it is very manageable. In my case I don't have questions asked regarding my CV.

Also, please try to re-read this thread, you can somehow find answers to your questions as I believe this kind of question has been answered somewhere.

If you're referring to this September's exam and interview, I think Best One is hiring for Private Hospitals and Clinics and not with Ministry of Health hospitals therefore salary differs hugely. With the MOH hospitals (exam and interview held last March 2011) basic salary is 650KWD while with the private hospitals it's only 220KWD as advertised.

Hope this helps...

hi i am new to this site... i was planning to apply as staff nurse for kuwait but the agency that was nearest to my location was best one i have already inquire to them and they told me that there will be upcoming MOH exam but they still dont have the exact schedule, the proposed salary they told me would be from 650 - 750kd would that mean that it will be a government hospital i will be working if ever i passed the exam and the requirements they asked?

don't you remember any particular topic or question being asked on the written exam and oral interview that would help me to focus on reviewing that would help me to passed the MOH exam to...although i have read in the forum some negative things about kuwait i still want to try my luck in kuwait anyway i believe wherever you are sometimes you're still not safe.

sorry to ask but what do you mean by CV? sorry i am not particular with the acronym.

hi to all, i am new to this site, and i found this thread to be very informative. i am one of the RNs who wishes (and prays) really hard to find a job abroad. i recently got an application to Kuwait, i just passed the MOH exam and the interview but i guess (from what i am hearing and reading from this site) this would take me a long time and a lot of patience if ever i keep up my application. im also having doubts in going to Kuwait, is it safe there? how is it like to live in there? thanks so much and best of luck to all RNs here.

@seeker23: hi i am new to this site just been heard lately about hiring of filipino nurses for kuwait with good salary offer.... i inquired already to bestone agency its the agency nearest to my location from those three agencies hiring for kuwait. they told me to undergo MOH exam and passed first before i can proceed to the application yet i was very anxious with the exam because haven't read my books since i passed my board exam and dont know where to start. i heard the latest exam that was given by MOH was last september 2011 so if you wont mind i would like to ask any particular topic they have given in the exam for me to know what to expect and study and also for the oral interview i don't have any idea on what will they going to asked so if yopu won't mind i would like to ask some help with you to be able to pass also the MOH exam and got a chance to also work in kuwait. thank you

@dinx: thank you for welcoming me to this thread sorry for being asking too much or posting too much redundancy i am just too anxious about this exam... i have done back reading of this threads and read some tips for the written and oral exam, this will help me a lot at least now i know where to focus my review hope i will passed the exam too and then everything will follows.

if you won't mind i still have some questions to ask? as i was doing my back read i read that your agency is best one but you said you are not recommending the agency to new applicants? why? is there any case that one was able to passed the moh exam, medical exam, completed all the requirements and able to pay the placement fee but still wasn't able to deployed for kuwait?

i haven't passed my requirements to best one because of very unfortunate reason that happened to me, i am still trying to complete all my original documents as the agency told i won't be able to take the exam if i don't have all the originals in hand during the exam... good thing for me that the exam was moved or postponed due to the election in kuwait. Is it true that there is upcoming election in kuwait this coming february because that's what they told be as the reason of the exam being psotponed?

@dinx: i'm just wondering on how the interview goes like...will there be personal questions they are going to ask? how many nursing questions will they asked too? i also read they will focus their questions according to the area of exposure you place on your working experience, is that true?

is there any particular area of exposure they hire the most, such as er nurse, icu nurse, etc? or just as long as you are registered nurse for three years or more and meet their requirements of minimum of three years hospital experience?

i am actually more exposed on delivery-ob-gyne ward...

sorry for asking too much but i just want to make sure before i pass my requirements to bestone...as you all know the money needed for the application is a bit too high so i just want to make sure i am making the right decision.

i was also confused about the government and private hospital...if you take the moh exam and paid the placement fee of 650kd that means you are applying for government hospital in kuwait and will receive such amount you paid as your monthly salary right? i also read that there will be suncontractors or private company involved in our application, and the hospital assignment will be given as you get there... so is there any instances that you applied for government hospital and paid your placement fee of 650kd yet when you get there you were assigned for private hospital and receive 250kd as salary only?

Hi guys, I just wanna ask about the contract in MOH. Is it a 1 year renewable contract? Thanks.

Specializes in ER, Endoscopy Nurse.

two years renewable contract which actually wont expire unless you decided to resign. on the other hand, you will have to renew your civil id everytime it expires.
