2012 nursing jobs and training updates

Good day fellow nurses! I just want to give some updates regarding some hospitals that I happened to visit last December 2011. I hope many will be willing to share some info too. Let's help each other out. =)

Chinese Gen - accepting applications ONLY if you graduated from their school

San Lazaro - deadline of applications for RNHeals here was unfortunately last December. Too bad I didn't make it. Ha-ha

Medical City - as usual, logging on their log sheet is the first step if you're a commoner. If with backer, expect the process to be faster. (Too bad I don't know anyone haha) Check out their page on FB. The Medical City: Career Opportunities. Training for the next batch will tentatively start by first quarter so waiting for another 3 months is a no-brainer especially if you haven't had any exams and interviews yet.

St. Lukes (QC) - according to someone I know, training would probably start by January. Tentative.

Manila Doctors - HR is accepting applications but that is for pooling (subject to training with a fee).

NKTI - accepting applications BUT is very strict with requirements. Minimum of 6 months paid hosp experience from at least a hundred bed cap hospital. Geez! That's where my requirements flanked. I have all the others except the bed cap of the hospital where I came from. See NKTI's website. nkti.gov.ph

__Please feel free to correct any information if you know/believe is misleading. I hope others will try to contribute too in this thread. God bless us nurses and Happy new job hunting year! Ha-ha

I posted an update on MDH thread regarding my application:

I just want to know if the CSA training they texted me (good for 6 months at MDH) is even related to a nursing job. Quite confused. :(

@dodoy

off-topic, but how do you get to Asian Hospital Med Center from Taft Avenue?

--

On a visit to National Children's Hosp early January, we went to the HR Dept (we know someone from the inside) and they told us that they won't be accepting applicants until the RN heals 2 nurses they accepted has ended their 1-year contract. They said that if we came earlier (They tried contacting us last October to apply but we were on HD training), we should have gotten in. They got too many RN Heals nurses, in fact, that they are overstaffed at the moment.

Yup, I saw it with my own eyes. There were like 10 RN Heals nurses (aside from the regular staff nurses) sitting around while waiting for a task in one department I don't want to name (we also know the head of that department), and I suppose they just took turns in doing a nursing task if there comes any. Oh well.

Hi caisaki

During the time when I was about to visit Asian Hospital, my original plan was to ride a bus along EDSA going to Alabang (then ask the bus conductor to drop me off at least anywhere in Alabang), then I'll try to find the hospital from there.

However, due to some circumstances, while walking near LRT Gil Puyat station I found a bus with a sign board going to Festival Mall in Alabang so I took the ride. From the mall, I walked 'til I reached Civic drive. You'll find Asian Hospital there.

Sorry, I know that you're only asking directions from Taft. Anyway, that's just an alternate route for you.

Along EDSA, there are buses going straight to Alabang. I dont know if the buses pass by EDSA all the way to Taft but I'm sure they pass by Ayala station. Ask the bus driver first where is their last drop off point in Alabang.

Please take a look at the requirements posted on the thread of Asian Hospital and Medical Center. They require a certain format for the resume, and there's also the updated requirement list.

Thanks dodoy, that definitely helps :) I'll be dropping by Asian Hospital this week.

Guys, the PHILHealth CARES application is ongoing! Go to this webpage to apply: https://cares.philhealth.gov.ph/. Those who already submitted their applications via email need to re-apply again.

Godbless to all of us!

Hello. I'm new here. Can you please send me the names of the people I should write to in Sta. Ana and NCMH? Thank you. :)

Hi quadrithomasiannurse! I PM'ed the names to you. Sorry for the late reply, I'm not always online. ^^"

Thanks so much yarrow! I submitted my resume before through email, but I did reapply again. I hope this would come out good, though being the 16,371st applicant doesn't sound much assuring :p It would be great to have a job while waiting for the hospitals to respond (if ever) to my application. :)

Hi yarrow! Could you also PM me to which I will address my letter of application in Sta. Ana Hospital? Thank you and God Bless.

Went to Las Pinas Doctors Hospital earlier today and much to my disappointment, they only accept applications from those referred by the hospital's owners (stockholders, CEO, president, etc.). Just a quick note for those intending to apply in the South. :)

*UPDATE*

This is exclusive for HD nurses who are already certified by RENAP with at least 6 months experience (volunteer or staff experience). Hemotek is actually hiring HD nurses for their branches. I don't know if that also applies to Manila but what they told me when I passed my credentials last week of January is that its only for the provincial branches. This include Bataan, Pampanga and Batangas. I recently received a text message inviting me for an interview which I have turned down to pave way for an ongoing pre-employment training.

Regarding RENAP, I just finished my HD training last December, but with no experience whatsoever, I can't take the RENAP exam. I did hear rumors that I can still take the exam without the 6 months experience, would you happen to know if this is true?

A few months earlier they allow nurses with HD training to take the exam even though their requirements are incomplete. The catch is that they won't release your certificate until you have provided them with your lacking requirements. I just don't know if this still happens or they still allow such.
