To Sourdough,
I completed my degree through Ryerson in their 2 yr post basic program and found it to be a fantastic experience. I have friends who completed their degrees by distance ed through Athabasca and had nothing but positive remarks about the learning program. When I went back I thought it was just to get some letters after my name. i did not realize how valuable the course I took would be.

McMaster in steel city...but not the collaborative program. How is that going?? From what I hear, it's still pretty messy and an administration nightmare!

From what I've seen, it was really a mess the first year, but by now I think they've got most of it figured out. Of course, I'm part of the Mac bunch, so we've got it the easiest... everything just kind of carries on from what it was before the collaboration.
Is anyone part of the Mohawk or Conestoga groups? How's it going for you guys?

Hey everyone,
I'm part of the infamous "January Group" (now beginning 3rd year) in the Conestoga/Mac collaborative program...yes, you're right, it IS a nightmare. They can't get anything right.
I must say though, this past year has been *slightly* better than the last one!! It's sad though...some of the upper administration of the College hardly know that we exist!? Grr @ them.
Overall though, it's an amazing programme!! I love it...and talk it up to everyone I meet.
Yaaaaayyyyy for PBL, self-directedness, and learning plans!
*checks herself for temp* I can't believe I just said that! I think I actually partly meant it...EEK!!!! HELP!! ;-)
