Hi!

Just wondering if anyone out there knows the process to going to work in another province than the one that you went to nursing school?

Planning on taking my schooling in alberta next year and eventually want to move to BC.

Is there a test that you have to take to qualify??

Just curious because im hearing from friends that have just graduated RN program are having problem finding jobs....go figure.

Basically just curious :)

Isn't NSO insurance in the States only about 100$ a year for RN coverage ? I've seen that figure quoted around here alot.

Our permits include our liability insurance. US nurses have to buy their own insurance directly, so many do not carry it. Have you seen the price of insurance down there?

Hi, I just pass my NCLEX-RN I went through CNO for registration and now I moved to Manitoba. I have question about registration 1) Can I directly apply Jurisprudence exam in manitoba for practice and registration with CRNM in Manitoba? or 2) I have to get my registration licence from CNO first and only after that I am eligible to get registration in Manitoba?

Please let me know,

Thanks

That seems to be a rather circuitous route to become registered in Manitoba. You can apply for registration with CRNM as soon as you've been registered with CNO. Yes, you have to pay for registration in Ontario, because that's where you were approved to write the exam. And then when you apply for registration in Manitoba you will pay again. CRNM will assess your application and let you know what you still have to do to be registered with them. I'm assuming that you're an IEN based on the phrasing in your post. Depending on which method used to assess your original application in Ontario, there may be more assessment of equivalency necessary for Manitoba to register you. Be prepared for them to ask you why you didn't apply directly to CRNM first off if you planned to live in Manitoba. Somebody is sure to want to know.
