ROTP Nursing Questions (Canadian Forces)

I graduated with a 4-year Honours BSc last year, and I'm considering applying to the ROTP for Nursing for September 2014. I just have a few questions and would appreciate it if someone can answer them.

1) Are accelerated/compressed programs eligible for ROTP subsidization? More specifically, the one at Trent or Humber?

2) Will the fact that I already have a degree (and I'm 23 years old) offer some sort of advantage in the ROTP selection process (over recent high school graduates that are around 17-18 years of age)?

3) I'm really only interested in the Air Force, and not the other branches. Is it likely I will be offered a spot in my preferred branch?

4) Are most 4-year nursing programs in Ontario eligible for ROTP? I was thinking about applying to the one at UOIT just in case.

Go talk to a recruiter. They know far more than we ever will.

Attached trades (which I believe nursing is) is kind of the luck of the draw. Supply and demand. No RCAF vacancies? Well, I guess you'd learn to like green.

RCAF have very few postings. Comox, Edmonton, Cold Lake, Moose Jaw, Trenton, and Valcartier spring to mind. Remember you go where the job is. We were lucky my spouse got to turn down Cold Lake.

I can't believe it's already been more than a decade since I made this post. How life has lead me in a totally different direction!

Anyway to answer your question, back then, the program was not accepted by the CAF for subsidization. I'm sure much has changed - I would suggest speaking to a recruiter.
