RN pay at a doctor's office?

Hello!

I am thinking about working at a clinic, but can't seem to find any info on how much the hourly rate for clinic nurses would be. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you talking about GP and specialist's offices or hospital clinics?

GPs and specialists don't hire a lot of RNs. Usually LPNs and medical office assistants. The ones I've read ads for usually pay very close to union rate or provide free parking.

Hospital clinics pay hospital wages.

Hi there, I'm talking about a GP office. They pay close to hospital wages?

Depends on the market and how they are funded. As an LPN I was paid roughly a $1.50 an hour less but didn't have to pay for parking, worked M-F office hours which is worth the pay cut for some people.

The benefits packages aren't as good nor are they union.

Having said that, most doctors won't hire RNs because they are simply too costly for what they are used for.

It may depend on where you are. I am in Ontario and GPs offices pay lousy.
