- Mar 15, '12 by Silverdragon102Depends on the province. May be worth asking the college and then you will need to apply for a temp license if they give the go ahead and pay whatever fee they charge
- Mar 15, '12 by newnursejoanFrom what I understand, in Ontario once you fail the CRNE, and you are working on a temporary license as a new graduate, you have your license revoked and are not able to work. I'm not sure if you are an Internationally trained nurse, if this is different. Best bet would be to contact the cno.org
- Mar 15, '12 by Lols irelandi am not living in canada and travelled over from ireland so i dont have a temp licence. from what i can tell on the CNO site if you've failed you cant get a temp licence :-(
- Mar 18, '12 by basel73591hello, i am international nurse too, failed the first attempt in oct 2011, will repeat in jun 2012, i am in toronto now, most of hospitals will refuse your job application unless u pass the exam so they dont. what u r doing now and what materials u had? my email is basel_ramahi2000@yahoo.com
- Mar 21, '12 by joanna73That is correct. In ON, you cannot work as a graduate nurse once you've taken the CRNE and failed. That option only exists for people who have not yet taken the CRNE and hold a temporary license. If he/she is unsuccessful, the temp license is immediately revoked.
- Mar 21, '12 by DizziafroHi Lols Ireland, I am also an international nurse from the uk and am due to take my exam in June 2012. What is the pass mark then? Any tips you can give me i would very much appreciate as there is sooo much to study. I have been in Canada since July 2011 and have found it very difficult to get any form of work without certification or canadian experience of some kind. I'm just hoping that when i pass (positive thinking and optimism, lol) My experience may help me get a job.

- Mar 22, '12 by OmabusamraWhat are the out come if you didn't meet the CNO program requirment and your application refered to the regestration committee . I'm on stress .
- Mar 23, '12 by DizziafroIn my experience, once it goes to the regisration committee they will look over all the information you have sent, and ask for futher information they feel they require. This does not nessecarily mean you will not qualify as long as you can provide them what they ask for. They asked for more information from me and when it went back the next letter i was sent said i was eligible to write the exam.
