Acceptances to Ontario Programs for Sept 2011?

Hey guys!

I'm in my final year of high school, and i've applied to Ryerson, Humber, George Brown, Centennial and Mohawk for Nursing, starting in September 2011

I know its early, but i was wondering if anyone else has gotten acceptances to anyy Ontario nursing program yet?

Many friends have gotten acceptances to Ryerson already, none of them nursing, but i'm starting to get worried!

Let me know! Thanks!

Congrats on both your offers! Wow, you got in at Ryerson... I hear it's one of the best in the country (for nursing). Good luck on choosing and accepting the "best" offer for you (if you haven't already), and I hope you enjoy the program once you start! :nurse:

I accepted Ryerson Today! :D

Specializes in none.
i got my acceptance to georgian today:yeah:for the bscn program in september. it's a conditional acceptance providing i keep my pre health marks up this semester. i also got accepted at seneca but chose georgian, i think it's a better school, closer to my home and i am already familiar with the campus. plus their building a brand new health sciences facility set to open in september. i'm so excited! you should hear soon if (if not already) if you were accepted first round. if you haven't heard anything yet don't sweat it, lots of people get acceptances and choose to go to other schools, leaving the opportunity for you. good luck!

hi aliciaj :redpinkhe

congratz on the acceptance ;)

if you don’t mind me ask you a few questions about the pre- health program, i am planning to apply for pre-health ( nursing) program next year, and i am wondering how did you apply for the pre-health program?

i really want to attend nursing school right after i receive the pre-health diploma, so i how can i do that?

thanks :)

Specializes in Hospital nursing.

I got in to Centennial and Conestoga for the RPN to RN programs, just got the letters this week, so you should hear soon!

Congrats CanadianGirl79! Do you know what one you're going to accept?

I'm not sure yet where I'll go...I'm still waiting to hear from Mohawk, which is my first choice. I'm super psyched that I got in to Centennial and Conestoga, though! :) Now I just need to pass the CPNRE!

you can apply for pre health through ontariocolleges.ca (search for prhs). once your in pre health you can apply to the colleges of your choice once they start accepting applications. i would suggest taking pre health at the college you want to attend for your nursing program as you have an advantage already being a student there. they consider you a college transfer instead of a mature student or highschool applicant. if you actually want to learn and are serious about the program it is very beneficial to take pre health and i think it gives you a little extra preparedness once you enter the nursing program. you will have already been in college for a year and know what professors expect of you. hope that helps!:)

any new news guys?

i've accepted Humber's offer!

I am still waiting and hoping to get a response from Ryerson. So far got only offer from York, but Ryerson is my first choice.

Congrats KateWindsor for your acceptance to Humber! I hope you like it there :)

I'm also still waiting for a response from University of Western Ontario (UWO) and Fanshawe College, both for the collaborative Nursing BScN program. I hear that offers are only sent out after April or so from this school... it's getting harder to wait this long and I am starting to lose patience!!! Haha! ;)

The second round of offers go out mid-march I think. and I know ccormier! It is soooo hard to wait. I got really frustrated with waiting for out of province schools (ontario) for a response so I was about to apply to a Nova Scotia university when I found out about my george brown/ryerson acceptance. Then two days later I got my Ryerson and York/georgian acceptance, when I least expected it. I don't think I'll get into St.Clair/Windsor or Mohawk/Macmaster regardless of my grades, because they sent me a letter saying that they give first priority to accept ontario students for oversubscribed programs. I didn't get any acceptance from St. LAwrence/Laurentian (my sister's college) which surprised me unless they use the same policy about ontario student's priority.

But I already accepted my offer from Ryerson (my 1st choice) so I guess it doesn't really matter. :dancgrp: :dncgbby:
