Has anyone applied for the Summer 2014 Parkland residency program?

If so, have you heard anything yet?

I applied and I haven't heard anything. From other threads from previous years I gathered they take their sweet time contacting people.

I was just wondering if I should keep having some hope, or if I shouldn't even think about it anymore!

I applied for the trauma internship, and the ER and L&D residency. I got an email saying that my L&D application has been forwarded to the hiring manager. Nothing about the rest.

i still got my fingers crossed!

Have you heard anything more from L&D? I recieved the email about my application being forwarded too, but nothing else.

I went to a job fair where a Parkland recruiter was there. I thought it would be good to put a face with my application you know network! The lady from Parkland was not very friendly and said WAIT till after I had passed the NCLEX to apply. They have so many applicants, and dont want to risk hiring someone who doesnt pass the NCLEX. The whole interaction was a bit discouraging. At the same fair a mental health organization was there and offered me a position. so I may go that route, and try to get acute care experience later. So has anyone heard from the burn ICU yet. I called hr and the lady said that if the posting was taken off the site then the position have been filled. Anyone know if this is true?
