Decisions, decisions. Is it worth it?

I need some advice. Do you think it's worth accepting your "dream job" (that you've done a preceptorship in so you know you love it) at hospital A but you have to work rotating days/nights with a short turn around, pays beat minimum for new grads in your area, and is 40 minutes from home? My other likely option is hospital B which pays the 3 dollars more than hospital A, very close to home, but doesn't have the specialty you want. I don't know what to think. Advice?

Ooo that's tough. I think the biggest factor for me would be the day/night rotation with short turn around... I know tons of nurses do it but I personally don't think my body could handle it. Tough decision, but congrats on having options!!!

If you can handle the rotating shifts..... Choice A. If I were in the same situation, I would choose A in a heartbeat. Then again at this point in my life I don't have an issue with rotating shifts :p whichever you choose, good luck and congrats!

Personally, I'd go for 'dream' job.

a $3 difference and a short drive is not worth letting the dream go...you will get used to the drive and you are likely to get a $3 raise in no time....I think anyway, I'm a new grad
