I am interested in teaching online nursing courses but have no idea where to start that search. I have looked at the online programs I am familiar with....does anyone know of any schools hiring online educators? I am a Master's prepared RN.

It would seem obvious to me that in order to be hired by a school, you'd need to apply to that school for a position (online or otherwise). Have you contacted an employer that interests you, and asked what their application submission process is?

Specializes in orthopedic/trauma, Informatics, diabetes.

I am trying to find the website, I just finished my RN-BSN online and the university used a company that provided Masters and above (a lot of doctoral candidates) teaching assistants. The company was based in Texas and all of them had an email ia-connect.com, I thought, but now I can't find it. I'll keep looking.

I guess I worded that badly....

I am looking for leads to online schools that may be hiring. My exposure is limited to my immediate area and I have heard that not all schools advertise online those positions, instead rely on word of mouth.

Ah, yes, that's different :)

I have no doubt, given the volume of traffic on this board, that you will find something. Goodluck!

This company is like an online educator agency-they find you the jobs. My old instructor just got a job with Kaplan online.

You can often find the contact information for the HR departments either from the school's website or LinkedIn. That website is a GREAT way to network.

We have moved this thread to the Nursing Educators / Faculty forum with the goal of amassing more responses from those who are experienced in this realm.
