Max Salary for faculty in a private college

Hi all,

recently have got an offer to teach in bay area and the salary 81k. I have an experience of 2 yrs teaching and 4 years on the floor. I'm wondering is it worth in Bay area. In community college I was getting $55k. what's yr opinion. I have a supporting salary of my partner but is this salary ok ?

May be you are getting it more for your clinical experience. Wisdom and experience has a value in nursing education. I have heard about couple of institutions especially west coast which has this salary bracket.

I have a friend at west coast that teaches adjunct and she make 55/hr, works 8 hrs and gets paid 2 hrs prep.

The pay is good but it has to be for the rate of living. I'd never want to live on either coast, soo expensive!

But that doesn't include earthquake insurance, Godzilla insurance, drive-by insurance, the cost of pool maintenance, or any costs for your entourage, paparazzi repellant, or cocktail parties with the Pitts (Brad and family).
