Yippie, I got in, hooray

Nurses Career Support

Published

After receiving my CNA license, I took the LVN entrance exam through ROP. There was 300 people who took the test and only 60 were chosen. I got my letter this weekend, I got in!!! I didn't think I would, I'm so excited!! I start in Aug. Does anyone have any suggestions on a book I can read to mabey get a head start or any advice. Okay the one thing I'm worried about is that last year I got my first hep B shot and I went to get my sesond ( cause you know how they need to be 3 months apart) and the nurse said that have no record of the first one. But when I went home I found the computer print out of it- the first one. So I'm worried I won't have all my shots in time.

Congratulations

Relax. You life will dramatically change in August and there's no need to read ahead. In my opinion.

CONGRATS

Could you give me a 1st person view of being a CNA?

CONGRATS

I learned basic A&P fundementals so that was good. Mainly what I did was take vitals, make beds, feed, bath and dress patients, and read charts. I honestly enjoyed working with the elderly during my clinical experience; however I do not currently work as a CNA b/c my husband feels it will interfer with my school work and as you know CNA'S don't get paid too much so instead I work as a server at a resturant and they work with my school schedule.:lol2:
