To Filipino Nurses: Do you have any job experience before applying abroad?

Hi there!!Welcome to my thread..

I just want to know about applying abroad.. Im curious about it because it takes long time to go abroad if Im going to have an experience first.

I just want to know some of my co-filipinos out there..

I would say it depends on which country you want to work in, some countries do require you to have x amount of years experience before they will allow you to be registered in their country where some countries don't. Saying that US is a country which at the moment does not require experience but with retrogression and no idea when that will ease then you may as well get some experience whilst you are waiting

Just like what Silverdragon 102 stated, that it depends in which country you would like to practice your profession. I think it would be better that while waiting for a placement abroad that you make use of the opportunity to gain experience there in the philippines, and when the time comes for you to go abroad, at least you're ready and prepared.

I'm from the PH too. People advised me to finish all documents for foreign license before training in local hospitals (you won't earn anyway since you're a trainee, in fact, you have to pay). It would be nice though to have some experience before going to a diff country so as not to have your license revoked for negligence/malpractice.
