How do you get to your RN degree to get to BSN?

CNA meaning Certified Nursing Assistant? If so, you cannot take NCLEX until you go through nursing school. In order to to through a RN to BSN program you must first be an RN. I think you need to talk to an advisor. Best of Luck and Welcome to allnurses

In order to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam, you must complete an approved (by your state Board of Nursing) nursing program. The "RN to BSN" program your current university offers is for people who are already RNs (originally educated in a diploma or Associate's degree nursing program); it's not that common for schools to offer a BSN completion program without also having a basic nursing program, but there are some schools that do this.

You would need to find and complete a basic nursing education program, whether it's a hospital-based diploma program (not too many of those around anymore), an Associate's degree program at a community college, or a general BSN (not RN-to-BSN) program. Graduating from any one of those programs will qualify and prepare you for the NCLEX exam and licensure ("RN" is not a degree -- it is licensure. You can be an RN with a (nursing) diploma, an ASN degree, or a BSN degree).

I agree that an advisor (in the nursing department) at your university could advise you about your options. What are you studying now?
