Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

World Australia

Published

Having been guilty myself of hijacking threads saying hello and just chatting to my fellow Aussies I thought it might be worthwhile for us to have a thread that is just dedicated to general Aussie chat. We can then discuss issues like the Morris - oops Davis inquiry in Queensland and what it will mean for Q health and for the rest of Australia.

We can talk cricket, sport and anything else that is just us.

Say hello to new members dropping by.

Generally find out what is happening in the rest of the country.

I will make this thread a "sticky" so that it will always be at the top of the forum.

Hi Gwenith,

Hi, just want to find out how to get a job in your country. I just finished my Practical Nursing Course. Right now am preparing for my NCLEX-PN review. I am having a hardtime looking for an agency here in the Philippines that hires LPNs abroad. The course is new to them and most of the agency's here are only entertaining RNs for abroad.:crying2: Is there a way you can recommend an agency wherein i can apply? in your country what licensure exams are needed? is NCLEX a requirement in your country? Please let me know. I am lost right now and dont how will i be able to use the course i've taken to have a new career. tnx

blunight:thankya:

Hey peoples,

sorry I haven't been around much lately. It's been a very busy few weeks trying to organise moving. I got into Flinders Housing to live for this year. Which is really great 'cause it gives me a year to really find my way around Adelaide and please God get my own place in 07.

Today I just finished Enrolling and I've already brought my oneway ticket, so everything is moving very fast now.

Hope everyone is well and I'm going to try and keep in touch more.

Quick Question at what times do the Nursing shifts in Hospitals and Nursing homes usually begin and end in Adelaide.

Only 6 more sleeps.:roll

Hi All

I am a student EN from Canberra in my second year of a 2 year PT course. I am looking to go right on to my RN/Midwifery at either Uni of Canberra or CSU via distance ed next year. I stumbled across allnurses by accident when looking for some critical thinking exercises, how lucky was that!! I am hoping to get work as an EN in a sexual health/family planning kind of location as soon as I finish this year but will honestly be ecstatic to have partially reached my lifetime goal of being a nurse no matter where I am!! Look fwd to chatting to you all and sharing experiences.

Take care

Hi Mez,

Great to see another Aussie on here

Just one warning from one student to another........this website is highly addictive, when you are at your computer and are meant to be studing.....somehow this website has 'popped up' on your screen and next thing that you know, it is hours later, no studying has gotten done, but you have caught up on the threads that interest you and have learnt lots :chuckle

Or maybe thats just me

Tina

2nd year RN student (I passed my 1st year )

Thanks Grace for that, I was just trying to work out when I could work around Uni. Can't believe I'm finally flying out tomorrow afternoon. Tonight I'm going on a farewell cruise on the harbour. This week has been a lot of goodbyes and everytime I went anywhere I thought this is the last time I'll.... for a while at least.

Welcome Mez and congratulations Tina on passing your first year
