How NOT to be a “new grad” and get an ACTUAL job??

  1. hello... I'm a "new grad" RN here in Las Vegas NV ..I need some guidance as to how I can gain some experience as a nurse when no one wants to hire me... I get to a recruiter or an interviewer and I never hear from them again... how can I change that?

Look outside of the hospital world, and have someone evaluate your resume.

If your school has a career services office. Or you can post it on AN and ask for feedback.

Your resume...you can post it here and ask for feedback. There are also websites that will build a resume for you, a quick google search will yield those results.

Perhaps apply at one of your clinical sites? If you did a good job during clinicals as a student nurse, the manager may remember you and you could inquire about positions with him/her.
