ICN Offers Guidance on Global Nurse Competencies

In response to worldwide demand for direction on professional nursing competencies, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has published a set of guidelines. The ICN Framework of Competencies for the Generalist Nurse presents a framework of competencies for the generalist nurse at the point of entry to practice, i.e. following successful completion by a student nurse of her/his country's initial nurse education program.
