Difficulties with Florida IPN

Has anyone been under contract with IPN and not completed their contract for one reason or another? Did you voluntary withdraw your license or just have IPN send your case to the board and have the board do their investigation? It seems either way, the board recommends you comply with IPN program contract. Does a board investigation with resulting discipline and/or complaint automatically get placed on your license on the DOH website, accessible by link?

I am in the middle of an IPN contract. They are wanting me to re-do IOP then restart my 5yrs. It is unacceptable to me. I would like to do damage control. Anyone have success with an attorney specializing in IPN? I'm mostly concerned with keeping the link to my 'discipline' or 'complaint' off the internet once the board files their complaint. Is it best to do voluntary withdraw? Or let my license expire in next few weeks.

Any information would be appreciated !!! I have 2 weeks to give them an answer!!!

Wow, you have a big decision to make. Of course no one can comment on most of the content of your OP because not information was given. I know many nurses who have dealt with license suspensions, disciplines, complaints, and obligations, and it was put on the DOH website. All of them found work as nurses, though sometimes it can take time. I don't know of anyone who ever got an attorney and fought it. I do know a nurse who relinquished her license, but that was also on the DOH website, and even though she chose to relinquish her license, it reads like they took it away. I think it ultimately looks better if you go through with their recommendations. Good luck and keep us posted.

Also, you​'re much better off if you can just work with IPN and avoid getting the BON involved!

I have read your post twice now. Honestly I am still lost.

1st off IPN is not going to just come out of the blue telling you that you need to do IOP and restart your contract. Something happened and you are not being honest with anyone including yourself.

2nd off if you pull yourself out of IPN. IPN HAS to report you to the Florida BON. The only choice you have is suck it up and do what IPN is asking of you.

it is not easy, it is taxing, but to avoid bon sanctions and forever tarnished lis, no matter what, it is better to stay within the IPN...i wish i had this options decades ago, but ipn did not exist tgen, you are blessed, even though it does mot feel like it.......honestly i understand your frustration, if you folliw their recommendations.......and have significant success...... modifications may be made, wishing you the best of luck ......

I agree, we don't have an alternative program in Alaska so everything I've done will be published for everyone to see forever...always knew I'd have my name in print someday :)!

I tried to fight IPNs recommendations with an attorney and it got me no where. Actually, it got me board referred and cost me about 4 grand and didn't help whatsoever.

Practice step 1, SURRENDER. You must surrender to IPN if you want to be a nurse. Period. They have your career "by the balls" so to say. Good luck. It becomes easier when you have the willingness to do what is asked. Love and light.
