HI,

I am coming towards the end of my PNAP agreement and wondered if anyone knows what happens? Do I have to go before the board? I've heard various stories of the board forcing RNs to continue another 3 years in the program after successful completion. Any info grateful.

thanks

I got a letter stating that my time was coming to an end- my biggest fear was an extension of time. I was a little surprised because I had a slip up at one point, and thought the BON could be punitive over that... but no drama, just a letter...

Oddly enough getting the letter triggered me- Stockholm syndrome indeed... Its good because my biggest fear is returning to the low point in my life- being triggered over good news (i.e. freedom is something that led to the slip up).

Anyway- I hope this is the case for you- I think all in all the BON will follow the agreement that was set with you

Sorry, I have no experience with the end of the monitoring... BUT...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! you must be so excited to almost be done!!! That must be an also feeling. I don't see why the BON would extend your contract without reason but i'm pretty naive to things like this and always believe the world should work perfectly. Maybe your PNAP case manager could offer more feedback, in their experience, if you have a good relationship. I think at the end, they even recommend to the board for full license privileges with no penalties, right? So they're supposed to be your advocate & go to bat for you with the BON.

Sorry for no valid input, but the end is near. Keep on keeping on!!!
