Hello,

I am applying to be an RN in NJ and one of the requirements is passing an English Proficiency Examination.

I toom the exam on May 20, 2017 and received my results today june 5th. My total score is 88 butmy speaking score is 24. I dont understand how i got 24 on the speaking area since I am fluent in English.

My question is will the NJ BON accepy my score which is passing total but not in speaking? Also is it possible to waive the English examination since the mode of communication and the textbooks are ing English (I graduated in the Philippines in 2011 and passed NLE the same year).

Also, i checked the ielts equivalent of my toefl scores and it turned out that if i have taken ielts i would have passed both. So my question is, is it possible to take IELTS after taking TOEFL as an alternative?

Thabk you.

No you must pass all areas and NJ does not exempt/waive any longer

You can choose to attempt IELTS in lieu of retaking TOEFL now
