Starting point would be deciding which state you want to live and work in and read up about the work situation of the state as well as state requirements on the state nursing board website (links at bottom of the page). Then once you have started process of getting registered in the state read up on retrogression and the long wait as well as struggle to find an employer willing to wait that long for you to arrive and work in the US> May be worth looking at gaining specialised experience making the employment of you more desirable. Will be hard but with determination and knowledge it can be done

m sorry i didnt got ur points.. :sorry:

The US states have their own board of nursing and you have to meet their requirements (your training in your country has to match or be similar to the state's nurse training) before they will give you permission to sit NCLEX. NCLEX is their final exam and must be passed by everyone who wishes to work as a nurse in the US.

Once you have met requirements and passed NCLEX you then have to search for a employer willing to wait the 2 plus years (depends where you was born to how long the wait is) This is currently hard but not impossible due to the large amount of US nurses struggling to find work.

My suggestion is to meet requirements but also make youself appealing to employers by gaining some experience in an area and obtaining certificates

Unless you have a immediate family member living in the US then you need a employer willing to file for either work or immigrant visa. This is where things may get difficult
