Denied by CABON now to take LVN..

World Registration

Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:

Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the

Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.

BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.

You're very much welcome kabayan.Did i address you right?HE or SHE?I'm sorry about that.Just don't lose hope, this is only a trials for us international graduates. But with the help of our LORD,we'll get through it.Just pray and have faith in him.Good luck to us.I'm still waiting for the board's reply for my clinical cases. How long did it take to you before you receive your letter from the board?

"She"kabayan..:specs:it took me a month to get the reply from CABON..yes trials for us that we will survive..there are many opportunities for us, we will never give up..;)

You're right kabayan!Keep praying.where you from?

my analyst told me that he can send it to the BVNPT for free of charge, dont know about the other analyst. he suggests that ill retake the classes that were not concurrently taken and work as an LVN after passing the NCLEX PN. it was nice of him on giving an advice because to be honest i am clueless and depressed with wat has had happened.

so im guessing that just give a call to BVNPT and ask them the process for taking the NCLEX PN. but before you do anything ask ur analyst first about ur nclex rn application before proceeding to apply for NCLEX PN.

thats what my analyst told me also, but the thing is when i looked at the BVN application there is one form Record of Nursing Program so meaning we need to submitt it again to our school and have them fill it up with school seal..its just like the same thing starting from the basic.., even if CABON will transfer our file..

Can anybody here help me figure it out..?pls.because I wanna stat my application asap..Thank you.

Im from LA..:)and you?its nice to know many of us(kababayan)are here in the US..

not so sure if the CA BRN will only transfer our transcript or everything. dont really know what step should i make right now, im still dumb struck with the letter that my analyst had told me. if i were u just to be sure and meet no delays on ur application, just have ur school provide again those school records.

i just dont really get the concurrency since our lectures and clinical duties are practically done at the same time. we mostly had bedside care specific for the lecture rather than being in the OR or DR room coz they give priorities to the seniors to complete their PRC cases. some of the foreign exchange students did not really bother having those 5 cases in each areas. they gave way to the others who badly needs the completion of cases. they only had one or two rotations in OR and DR yet they were granted to take their NCLEX RN exam. would it mean that theyll also lose their license as well as those 2005-present RNs?

Hi...sorry to join this forum again because my mom who was in the Phil. suggested that I should take the LVN/LPN. Maybe she's right. But I'm going to take chances of appealing to my analyst (about the dean thingy) and my dad would go to Congresswoman Chu to endorse what is happening to the foreign--oh well, Philippine graduates that are applying for the NCLEX-RN.

Actually, my classmate have the same situation as I did. He is planning to take the NY NCLEX but still got a lot of things going on his mind right now...Like me, our destiny as future USRN are deemed to closure.

Hmmm....so I have a question...

If my analyst endorsed my requirements to the LVN, would that terminate my application in the CaliBRN?

that I dont know, but I think even if the CABON endorse our requirements to BVN we still need to submitt the form Request for Nursing program to our school and have them fill it up with our school seal..honestly even for applying for Nclex-PN im still confuse..Our destiny as future RN is always in our way kabayan, its just one of the problems that we need to deal with but eventually we will prevail..(drama noh..)just have faith..

Thank you...I know it's a big wall we need to break. There's a lot of things I'm thinking now...But never mind that stuff...Kindly inform me if you already make up your mind taking the LVN...I'm quite lost with this dilemma...

Keep on praying fellow fillipinos. There are 49 states more to apply for licensure.Instead of stressing yourselves, why not try another options.Don't just give up!Fingers crossed!:nurse:

If you can't sit for the NCLEX RN how are you going to be qualified to sit for the NCLEX PN?

Good argument for a combined BON as other states do.
