Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Yes, I think so.

Hi! I've received an outcome letter, way different from the eligibility letter. The outcome letter states proposal to refuse registration by the board but there are also courses of actions that I may choose either by completing the bridging course or withdraw my application for registration. It also states that I am eligible to undergo the bridging course and was given 12 mos for it.

Specializes in Medical-Surgical, General, PACU.

That is exactly your eligibility letter.. It means that that you are eligible for registration upon completion of the course. You can submit that letter when you apply for a school.

good day! can someone enlighten me with the ppd test? what if your test turns out positive? will you still be permitted to study?

Hi! I have my 3 years paid working experience here in the PI, but I can't achieve an all 7 in 4 sub-test in IELTS. Can I take the BP? or the 1-2 years study program is my only choice?

Need advice from you guys especially with the same condition like mine. Thanks.

Hello nurses, where is the cheapest bp school located? and how much excluding and including accommodations? thanks.

normally yes. you will just be required to provide a more definite diagnostic test, like a CXR. Most Filipinos, I think, are positive for TB Skin Test.

anyone who had their bridging at IHNA that was assigned to korumbura? how did you get accomodation? (not from the skul)

Hi! Their application process is quite very smooth. No interviews, etc. You just have to submit an application and wait for the outcome. :)
