    yhan,

agencies will tell you something that you like to hear and will encourage you to do things their way.
IELTS is a requirement, from AHPRA registration up to immigration. I suggest you do it the normal
and compliant way. Take IELTS, then apply for AHPRA registration, then apply to BP schools. AHPRA (or ANMC) has a list of recognized BP schools, so please check that one.

hi, i am new here.. I already have my eligibility letter from ahpra and already sent an application for bridging program in IHNA/VCHN. They replied and asked for IELTS and recommend to enroll in their online course which is Introduction of Bridging Course Program. My concern is: Is it a trend nowadays to apply for a preparatory course like I mentioned for a nurse to qualify to a Bridging Course Program?
hi i just want to know what happen? did u for it? please share some details about what u have mentioned.thanks

Hi ceridwyn! hmmm i guess iamnomad is right, agencies will just tell me things i want to hear that's why i'm validating things to you guys before i give out payments to these agencies. i actually have a 457visa already. yah, that agency really told me that i won't be needing IELTS for APHRA anymore, i just need to prove that i was taught in English here in d Phil. they also told me that there are some BP schools in Melbourne that doesn't require IELTS, just the elegibility lettter from APHRA (is this true? ). they said if my husband gets PR from work, that will include me automatically so ielts for PR won't be a problem for me anymore (true?). i hope i make logical questions , thanks so much in advance for ur infos... .. ahmmmm one more thing, will BP really cost me $10-$12k? ouch! and i can't work while on BP? maybe you can recommend cheaper school for BP in melbourne, that would be a great help ... thanks again! God bless

hi everyone! i'm a newbie here, i hope someone could help me i'm from the Phil and got a subclass 457 visa. i'm clueless about the registration for nurses in Australia. i was informed that i need to register to AHPRA to be able to work as RN in Aus??? so what's the bridging program for? is it needed to be RN there as well? i was told also that i won't need to sit for IELTS anymore to be registered in APHRA, i just need to prove that i was educated in English here in Phil, is that true? i hope someone could give me steps on how to be RN in AU, that would be a big help. after AHPRA, who will require me for a bridging program? what are the requirements for bridging program? thanks in advance guys! God bless
Just curious. How come you already have a 457 visa?
  9. hi bobby123! got my visa because of my husband. he got a working visa and his company sponsored me and my son as well
  10. That means you don't have restrictions on work. There are restrictions for those coming here from the Philippines because they are on a separate visa. You are a dependent of a 457 visa holder. Funny enough so was I when we moved to Australia from the UK.

About IELTS, unfortunately you will have to sit the exam simply because you are from the Philippines. Someone already posted the definitive requirement on 'New Grad Filipino...'. There maybe some schools that will not ask for the IELTS before you start your BP, but before you register with AHPRA, you will need to have the scores, 7 for each component. I suggest you gather all your docs, take the IELTS, then apply at AHPRA for eligibility. Once you get your eligibility, find a school for your BP, usually takes 3 months to do the BP then register with AHPRA. You then become a registered nurse.

    Goodluck
