Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

hi i also submitted my papers to AHPRA NSW last march, i also submitted my lacking docs last june, my case officer said that my documents have been sent to NSW Board meeting scheduled on early july and finnally got my eligibility leeter via email last week. so just be patient and wait..all the best

congrats!!:) il just wait for my LOE then.. thank you! :)

Hi ann leah, hi cyndi0116,

Thank you for the information you are sharing on this forum. It helps out nurses to save on their applications and specially not to be ripped off by agencies. I am for the September Intake of Lonsdale Institute/Alpine Health. I was about to apply for a student visa non-award 575 when I found out that I cannot since I don't have a CoE code. Reading from the previous posts, I guess I have to apply for a Visitor Visa Subclass 600 under the business stream? Is this correct? I will be inquiring on the website of the Australian Embassy but I would sincerely appreciate a walk-through from those who has already done it. Thank You Very much. Here's my email by the way. That' correct, It's Subclass 600 Visitor-Business Stream, if you're for Sept intake then you should've lodged your visa application by now as it already takes a while to receive the visa grant. Im originally for Aug intake at IHNA Perth and now I am being shifted to a later intake.

Anyone here for October intake at IHNA Perth?

Anyone here for AAON's September intake?

Anyone here for October intake at IHNA Perth?

me i guess! but not yet sure, im still eyeing the august 23 perth intake, they gave me until next week if my visa will be released but that depends on the availability of slot if there are cancellations from other students...im still waiting for my visa!i lodged it july 9, had my medicals july 26 and to my surprise nationwide only send it August 4...they cant send me to melbourne for the sept. intake. Ahpra gave me an extension until december 31, 2013 only. are you done with all the requirements?

Hi Jo! ill probably be really for oct intake. I was asked by nhsi to come back on thurs for UA since I had my period last wk. For sure I wont receive the visa on time. Oh well its alright as Im not yet done with elearning yet. I have another problem, I applied for the wrong health insurance. I missed Ihna's email regarding bupa. Relied on some posts here to get the OSHC instead of the essential health cover. I dont know what to do, I already e mailed bupa but they insist on receiving a student visa instead of subclass 600. :(

I pray that you receive the visa grant by next week. Lets hope for the best. :)

Hi. Don't forget your credentials (otr, cert of employment, diploma, etc), IELTS, and NBI clearance. I made the mistake of just attaching the letter from AHPRA, LOE, copy of my PRC license and financial documents that's why the case officer asked me to furnish additional documents. I just gave them certified copies.

Hope that helps.

Hi ann leah, I'm really lost on my Visa application for Visitor Visa (subclass 600) - Business stream. I only have a few weeks left before Sept 16 where my classes start. I have been going through the website and been downloading application forms and other pertinent data. I wrote a couple of things that I will submitting to the embassy for my application as follows:

1. Certified copy of relevant pages of my passport as necessary

2. A recent Passport photograph

3. My Bank Statements

4. AHPRA Decision Letter

5. Certificate of Enrollment for the IRON Program

6. OTR

7. Cert of Employment

8. IELTS

9. NBI Clearance and Police Clearance

10. PRC ID photocopy

Should I attach my Diploma and Summary of RLE? Should I have all this documents certified as a true copy?

I called the embassy twice to ask for assistance regarding this however they keep on insisting that I use the Visa Wizard. I even sent inquiries to the "contact us" on the website however they keep on telling me to use the visa wizard so I had to turn to this forum which is I'm glad I did. I just don't want to delay the processing time since I only have 4 weeks to go.

Hi!

I am in the process of lodging a visa for subclass 600 for the BP at Lonsdale this October.

For those who have already done this part, what were the documents you submitted with the form? Were they original copies or certified true copies?

Help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi xanxan, How is your visa application? I'm currently on the same process. I'm still gathering the required documents. Kindly check my previous posts of the list of documents that I plan to submit. Thank You. :)
