Bridging Program in Australia

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hello everyone, i would just like to ask if the processing in Adelaide, South Australia is fast? My documents was passed there last July 29. Thank you.

Hi! I sent my application to AHPRA SA and so far, I was satisfied with my experience with them. They replied to inquiries right away and I was regularly advised regarding my application. I was even told when to expect for the decision to be emailed. I sent my application 1st week of April but had to send additional requirements as advised. Got my LOE 23rd of July. Good luck! :)

who's for August 23 intake at IHNA perth...=)

hello, to those who availed the ihna accommodation at perth, is the 3000 fee worth it?or is it better to look for cheaper accommodation. im just worried for the clinical placement, they might assign me in a hospital far from the accommodation I will get if ever. Anyone who is for August 23 intake at perth? maybe we can share accommodations...hehe...those who already done with their BP at ihna peth, any suggestions or advise?thanks a lot...=)

Hi kingkoy007, i am also from ETEA JAN 2013 batch. We are 18 in the class and as of now, only 3 of us got a job, 2 among the 3 got sponsorship because the other one is already a temporary resident. Keep on sending out applications. And pray, :)

Ho may ghadd..just 3 from your batch..but it's ok..i'll keep sending in applications and keep looking for job openings for possible sponsorships..thank you for the motivation..cheers!

Hi guys!

I submitted my General Nursing application last March to APHRA NSW. They asked for additional documents, i submitted those on the 1st week of July. I was hoping to receive my LOE but this is what i got:

I write to you in relation to your application for general registration.

This is to confirm that your supporting documentation has been received and has undergone assessment.

As your application now 'appears' to be complete it will be forwarded to the NSW Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board) in September 2013.

We will write to you as soon as a decision has been taken by the end of September.

Hope you will find this information useful.

is this really the process? im confused. why do they have to send it to the NSW Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia? Can someone pls enlighten me with this?

TIA.

They are currently processing your papers. It shouldn't be too soon before you get a letter of offer :) all the best!

Hi..Maam Annie.. i wantto inquire what specific documents to be attached in filing for business visa .

Check the requirements at Australia's immigration website. :)

accommodations for 3,000 dollars. That is good for how many months? does that include food? is it close to the college you'll be studying in? please look it up before you avail it. you might be paying too much for that...especially that's only good for a month.

Hi Leah,

Thanks for the info. I hope it's okay if I ask you questions about lodging the visa 600. I have the offer letter from IHNA Melbourne for October 2013 intake. Anyone here for that intake?

Anyway, I would like to know if it's possible to get the medicals first before even lodging the visa? If so, how can I lodge the visa online? Thanks.

Hi. From what I know, you can't. You need to lodge an application firs cos you need the hap id when going for the medical exam. The hap id will be provided by embassy. As for lodging the visa online, i don't think we're one of the contries who can do that. You can lodge it thru via center. You can have a courier pick it up from your house.

Thank you so much for you response kingkoy007. :) I thought APHRA NSW processes faster than any other state but i have been waiting for my LOE for almost 5 months.. while others got their LOE in less than 4 months. but it's okay :) Godbless to all of us. cheers! :)

guys can I already use the eligibility letter sent by ahpra via email, have it printed and send it to school?and do I have to notarized it?.tnx
