Is it ok to date a drug rep?

We see drug reps daily in the office. Is it ok to date a rep as long as you keep the relationship outside the office?

Ohhhh that's risky! In my experience (and I could be wrong), they usually have the biggest mouth in the business so try to gauge how much you trust him or how hot is this guy that you're willing to be gossiped about? In the end, I defer to aprnKate's post....it is a free country.

I have never been a fan of dating colleagues on any level and would wonder about conflict of interest if you ever prescribed their medication and things went bad. I tend to be very guarded of my license and am picturing something like this from the prosecution: "So q12RN you prescribed XYZ medication to your patient and they have subsequently died. How much did your boinking of Joe Schmoe the representative for the pharmaceutical company who markets that medication influence your decision to prescribe it?" And this could happen even if the med had absolutely nothing to do with the adverse event.

Disregard my previous reply. You are correct and they are usually skinny too so all the more food for me on our dates. I'm in!

If the person is thin, good looking, decent, AND earns a nice income, then date away. Life is short and there's really not much out there to choose from. Ask any married or divorced person.
