U.S.A. North Dakota

Ok so I have a phone interview with St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismark on the 15th at 12 noon for med surg. Can anyone give me any tips/pointers? Also if they set you up for a interview don't they normally want to hire you. Assuming I don't screw up the interview.

Haha, I'm sure there are great places in the midwest but ND doesn't seem to be it

I was hoping for Minneapolis, Rochester or Green Bay, but..... I think I can find some good in Fargo.

ok so i just had the phone interview. they asked what everyone said they would. nice people and i loved the northern accents. they said they will be making the decision in the next week or two tops, as they still have 8 interviews left. and said if they didnt pick me they would pass my application on to the other departments i have interest in. so im not sure how it went?

How do you think it went? It seems like you prepared well for it. I would send them a short thank you note.

Also, a similar thing happened to me. I interviewed for one unit and got rejected soon after the interview (turns out the unit didn't have room to hire new people or whatever). HR let me choose other units I wanted to interview with and I eventually got an offer.

Good luck.

I have a feeling you did well. I hope you are happy on whichever department you end up working on!

im not completely sure? i hope it went well? if not i have a choice in my home state between Med/Surg and Psych. I thinking i what to get my NP in Psych in the long run..so idk? I just really liked this hospital and Unit (interview for the OR actually). and was thinking if i did get this job i might eventually go for PA-C so i could stay in the OR. i guess i will keep my figures crossed and hope for the best?
