Hey all. I am currently a nursing student who will graduate in May of 2008. I was orginally supposed to be staying in Charlotte to work but plans have changed and I will be moving to the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area when I am finished to be w/my fiance. I was wondering if the hospitals in that area hired new grads (that aren't doing their clinicals there). Here in charlotte, our school has a contract with the hospital system and while you are not "guarenteed" a job, you definetly have an "in." Is it the same way there?

I know that Forsyth Medical Center/Novant Health Group hires new grads for all position; I was offered ED as a new grad. Wake Forest Uni/Baptist Med Center hires new grads also, but preference given to Winston Salem State Students; I ended up accepting position in the medical ICU as a new grad.

Don't know much about Greensboro but Moses Cone and High Point Regional probably hire new grads also.

I am working at NC Baptist (Wake Forest Medical Center) Hospital in Winston-Salem as a traveler. There are several new grads on the floor that I am working on and the staff there seems really nice and open and accepting!! Good luck finding a position!
