U.S.A. North Carolina

I say this because in fayetteville area there are no one hiring me. I have a nc license and do private duty for now but the agencies really really sucki been a nurse 5 years, doind ltc and private duty with agencies. Before anybody jumps on me,I'm going to write it,and I don't care: fayetteville area and the surrounding counties have real racial and or regional problem and I think that is my reason. My name is black sounding, and that is the reason emploers are putting my aplplication to the back. It could be I am from harlem ny and they only want in state educated nurses. Just a rant

many new rn's (no or not enough exp) are having probs finding a job, some hospitals don't really consider ltc or agency work as applicable experience.

:uhoh21:...somehow I don't think that the fact that you are black is the only thing holding you back. (I am an African-American and my name means black...literally.) But anyway...good luck with your job search.

Hello smartnurse1982,

Have you tried over at the Valley? Keep you hopes up. When you submit an application, call the hiring manager a couple of days later to follow up on your application status.

Just my two cents. Hopefully something will come along soon. Please keep us posted.
