Thinking of Relocating between charlotte and greensboro

My husband and I are considering moving to North Carolina. I am an RN currently working as the MDS/RAI coordinator in Minnesota I am looking for links to job banks or a list of places that such as nursing homes and hospitals or clinics that Hire RNs I am not so much concerned about wages as that can all be worked out in an interview but I would like to research potential jobs as I would start my search from here and go from there any help would be greatly appreciated. Hospitals in the Winston-Salem area

North Carolina Baptist Hospital

High Point Regional Med Center

Greensboro

Moses Cone (I believe they are offering a sign on bonus right now)

My sis lives out there and it is a beautiful state. I traveled to North Carolina Baptist and it's a big hospital system... Lots of nice people in NC. Best of luck to you in your relocation.

You should not have any problems getting a job. Hubby may have a problem or two since the economy is taking a hit there. Good luck.

There are a lot of places hiring, depending on what & where you are looking. Their are federal jobs affiliated with the VA - Salisbury (hospital & long term care), or clinics in Winston Salem, Charlotte & Hickory. NC Dept of Corrections throughout those areas has positions but takes a while to go through the hiring process. Novant Health Care is managing hospitals throughout the areas you are considering. Many homehealth & private duty agencies. Are you looking for a rural area or want to be closer to a city?

either one works I just dont want to have to drive an hour to work. What are the wages like for RNs. I am currently and mds coordinator in minnesota and work in a LTC facility

With experience in MDS if you continue with that, I would think 60K give or take a little. I live between Charlotte & Greensboro near Salisbury/Mooresville/Statesville. There are Brian Centers, Autumn Care, Genesis long term care centers along with a lot of private poviders too. Carolina Medical Center is the corporate base for a lot of the Charlotte/Concord area hiring.
