Hi guys..I have applied to FTCC for spring and I have 155 pts...I have not heard anything so thats probably not a good thing? Also, the cut off was 9/29 and people already have letters? wow they are on the move!

I did not get in FTCC either with only 151 points. The acceptance letters go out the first week after deadline. I got in last year with 160 points but didn't pass first semester so I was trying to get back in for Spring 2012. I was not confident 151 would be enough but tried anyway. I was going to retake the TEAS V to get more points but didn't and now regret it. I had 10 more points on the TEAS IV and could have used them this time to get back in the program. Good luck to everyone that got in. It's a tough program.

Hi havingfaith...I also was in the program back in '06 (the year before they started the teas). I made my schedule and bought my uniforms, but had to call and give up my spot due to personal reasons. I did not get in the first time i applied back then either, but when I did it took about a month for me to receive my acceptance letter that is why i couldn't believe people were already getting them. Guess i will reapply for fall...wishing you luck!

Thanks for the help. I am trying to get in touch with someone at Nursing admissions at FTCC, but it is v. difficult right now. I double checked and they received all my transcripts, i did my application, Teas V (91) , info session...the works. I have tried recalculating and I still come up with having 179 points. I spoke to registration and records, and while I am not totally convinced, she said my transfer credits are there. The only 2 missing there were Bio 165 & 166 which i took at WSSU. Admissions has my transcripts for those, though, and reg & records said as long as admissions has them, nursing admissions will see them.

I am a bit frustrated b/c I can't really get any answers from anyone and I was told to wait until 5 wks from application deadline to call and ask. Advice/ suggestions?

A 91 on the teas v?? wow! thats awesome! Do you have the email addy to the lady who does the nursing admissions? If not, tell me where i can inbox it to b/c i have it and she said the best way to get a fast reply from her is to email her.

Thanks! I think I do have her email. Are her initials SS? If so, I sent her an email today & a voicemail. Hopefully she will respond back. I feel there must be some glitch somewhere...I can accept not being accepted, I think not knowing is driving me nuts! Were you able to speak to her recently? Thank again!

Yes that is her (SS) and i have not tried to contact her....I was unaware until reading this site, that the acceptance letters went out so fast! I didn't take the teas until 9/28 so I was thinking maybe I was at the bottom of the pile Anyway, I am positive if you have 179 pts. you WILL be getting in...and of course it adds to the wait b/c the mail does not run today!

Good luck to you too! I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us... The no mail today does put a damper in things, doesn't it...torture. I was under the impression that all acceptance had been sent. Am I wrong?

I honestly do not know...when i was accepted into the program in '06 (i gave up my spot--i know stupid) it took a month for me to get the acceptance letter after the deadline, but they have probably found a way to get things done faster now. I live in Winston so i assume if I was getting one, and they have already been mailed, then i would have already gotten one.
