Charlotte RN Salary??

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I know this question has been asked probably a million times but can anyone tell me what an RN can expect to make around Charlotte in a hospital with 2 years of experience? All I can seem to find is average salaries which tend to be overstated for what I can realistically expect to get given that I only have 2 years of experience. If it makes a difference I have one year experience on a subacute rehab hospital floor and one year on a tele/neuro floor..... I'm currently in MA looking to possibly move to NC so I know to expect a pay cut

You'll take a slight paycut but cost of living in NC is way cheaper so I'm sure it'll more then make up for it

Have you found anything else out about this topic? I am looking to network on this whole relocation process and am going to relocate from MI at some point.

Not sure about pay for experienced RNs but Carolinas Healthcare System new grads make $21.12/hr (plus shift dif/weekend/night pay).

I know this is not a really recent post... But, in case you're still looking. I recently moved from Western MA to the Charlotte area. I don't find the cost of living to be that much less. And I think the pay is abysmal for an experienced RN compared to MA. I have 6 years experience, 5 in my specialty and I've been offered $22-24/hr.

Thanks for the information. About to move to Charlotte, with 6-7 years experience. As other posters note, hopefully living cost balance out pay rates.

Thanks for the reply....i haven't moved yet, probably not going to for a few years now but that is crazy! I know MA is one of the best paying states for nurses but at those rates I would be taking a $10/hr pay cut and that's only with 2 years of experience
