U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I just applied to Cape Fear's program yesterday and received an application packet...working on that now. Deadline is Nov 15. Just wondering who else applied or if anyone has any information regarding the program from past cohorts. This would be a great place to share your experiences and to encourage one another during the application process. Gluck!

Can't wait to see all of you Monday!

Congrats everyone! For hose that have relocated...how do you like the city of Fayetteville? Do you live in/outside the city? I'm from NJ, and I hear it's very "country"...lol.

Just finding this thread. Was offered a position. Wanted to know how was your experiences with the nursing residency programs?

We might be relocating to the Fayetteville area this upcoming December (2014). I say might because my husband is in the military and things are always changing. Does the residency program start every summer or winter also? I am just trying to see what deadline I would need to meet.

I'm not sure if I even qualify. I got my RN 6 years ago but have only been able to work for a few months due to constantly moving and staying home with our son. I have experience in cardiac/progressive care. I have taken a board refresher course and kept my license current. Any advice? Thanks!

I have had my RN-BSN for 3 years. I've had 2 children and moved since getting license. No work experience as a nurse. My BSN clinical experience was unique and I performed advances skills independently under supervision doing over 900 hours with a preceptor. I'm ready to work, but not sure if this residency is right. I already live in Fayetteville. What can I expect from the program? Is it better to do this or take a position just as a staff nurse?

Have you started orientation yet?

Hi I am a new hire can anyone give advice about the basic dysrhythmia exam that certain departments have to take? I have been studying the packet since before Christmas but I am worried I need to find materials outside the packet...im just anxious since the job depends on it

Every question is from the packet. You will do fine. You've already taken the hardest test ;-)
