They are doing a five year campaign on prematurity to raise awareness and reduce the rates of prematurity.
I have been very active with them the past year an encourage you all to do so.

And look at these sweet "virtual bracelets" you can buy for a special preemie!

Okay, I swear to you you are my sister on some astral level!!! I was JUST at their web site. How active have you been? I've been debating whether or not to volunteer with them here, but I didn't know what function I culd possibly serve in. And yes, I am definitely in on the Walk-A-Thon. I love the MoD. ;>P

I'm going to be a team captain! I send an e-mail to all my friends and family because not only our patients are effected by MoD but every child that has made it through childhood!
Okay, speaking of teams. I have never participated in anything like this before- anyone care to share their experiences? how did you 'recruit' team members? What did you do as far as fundraising efforts were concerned? Did you get more than you thought? Less? Ideas? I'd like to start working on this, but feel awkward doing so (you know how people can get about donating money!).

Fifth year in a row........funny thing is that I'm doing it with a bank that I used to work for. Nursing school isn't organizing anything that I know of.
