Westchester Community College(WCC) Spring 2014

I received a call yesterday saying I was accepted to the Spring 2014 RN program. I wasn't accepted for the Fall 2013 RN. I was surprised because I was told originally when I asked that I couldn't take the TEAS until next year for next Fall and they wouldn't apply my current TEAS score to the Spring semester. So this is totally the opposite of what I was told before. My score was 75.3. So I was asked if I wanted to continue with the LPN program that I was accepted to for Fall 2013 or chose the RN for Spring 2014. I chose to go straight for the RN! So excited. I had to change my schedule for Fall though :( Has anyone else heard from the Nursing department about acceptance into the Spring 2014 RN program??? Please post when you do. They said they would officially send out orientation letters in a few weeks. Good luck to anyone who applied for the Spring!

I was in wcc lpn program last year the books came out to about 300 for both semester from qhat b I could remembet

I got into the spring 2014 rn class with a teas score of 74 but I think it was because I was in the lpn class also

Thanks. I chose Friday evenings but may change for Friday morning

hey does anyone on this thread know if at WCC i could take a&p1 in spring and a&p 2 in the fall? I just took a&p 1 this semester but got a D and know I need at least a C to be considered for the program, as well as most other nursing program. I have already registered for a&p 2 for this spring but I'm pretty sure they have to be taken in a certain sequence? I'd appreciate any help in figuring out what I have to do!

Hello Classmates!

I was just looking over the Reading List that we received during Orientation. I only have 1 page which stops at Exam 2, Unit 3. Is everyone's like this or am I missing some pages? Let me know. Thanks!

They forgot to give us the second page. I don't think the school is prepared for us on January . I mean come on we don't even know which days we will have our clinical yet. What you picked on the WCC website is not what you will get. See you guys on campus.

Since you technically passed you will be able to take A&P2 and then you can take A&P1. So to be considered into the nursing program you will need to pass all your core classes with a c+ or better. Since the class aren't really related in terms of what you should know when going into A&P2 i don't think you would have an issue.

Hey KingWCC,

I spoke with Mrs. ***** this past Monday and she didn't seem confused about the days at all. I signed up for Friday morning clinicals and I got just that, 7-2. Thursdays are Lecture and Lab, 8-5. But, I'm sure there will be massive confusion the first few classes: Nurse's Packs lost, classroom changes, unapproved physicals and tears. Can't wait!

One more week to go, it's crazy how fast 3 month went.....

Hi JasmDasm, congrats, I have a question please help me, I got register to the WCC as tranfer student, I got all my pre req but idk how can I get more info the process to get into the Nursing program?. How is the process? Thank you.

Hey I hope you schooling is going well. I'm an applicant for Spring 2016. I took my TEAS (76.7) yesterday and I've been freaking out ever since. Have you heard anything about the TEAS's scores for last years spring semester? Or anything about the applicants for Spring 2016? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
