I was accepted to SUNY Alfred. Wish I could find someone who went or currently in this program. I would like some info about the program.

Hey Stephanieee...I'm not very familiar with this forum so I was not sure how to reply to the private message. Hope you get this. I actually did things backwards. I applied to the nursing program first (since that's always the difficult part) and was accepted. So now I'm just waiting to have my admissions application processed-which I hope is soon then I can officially register. I am very excited and can't wait to finish. Good luck w/ your "advantage day".

Well, I'm actually going to SUNY Alfred in western NY. Not sure how far that is from Delhi but I'm also nervous. I'm moving from GA back to NY (originally from the Bronx, moved to GA a few years ago). I did get my clinical assignment already and was surprise to know the college provides transportation to clinicals! I just can't wait to get started. :yeah:

Did you have your advantage day yet? Wish I knew someone going to Alfred so I could have a friend too. Do you live upstate or are you relocating? I'm leaving the middle of August to head to NY. I'm dreading the cold winters that I've heard they have up north:eek: but it's for a worthy cause.

Yeah, I had my advantage day on May 21st. Where are you from? I'm from southern New York so I will be living in Delhi during the school year. Alfred is about 3 1/2 hours from Delhi so I'm assuming the winters are even worse haha I feel like they're bad enough down by where I live, and Delhi is even worse.

I live in GA but originally from the Bronx. I was looking at Delhi website and the nsg program seems pretty good. Kinda wished I applied there. I feel like no one is going to Alfred because I cannot find ONE SINGLE PERSON on this forum that has went there (at least if there is, they haven't responded to million requests for feedback). Hopefully, I'll like there. I guess I'll find out in 6 weeks.

lol that's funny, I'm from Yonkers, but now I'm living right across the river in Rockland County. ALOT of people from the city are going to these upstate schools. You've probably already paid your tuition deposit to Alfred but if you're interested you can look on the main SUNY website and see which schools are still accepting nursing applications, I believe Delhi is one of them.
