Just a hint for those looking for a job, like I am.
They update their site daily http://www.nslijcareers.com/. I have seen usually after 3pm sometimes after 6pm. But it could be at any time. So if you have time during the day you can check the site every hour. I have heard that if you are one of the top five to apply to the position, you are more likely to be considered for that position. The reason being is that you are not the 20th or 30th eligible person who applied. They would stop looking when they find someone who is qualified if it is within those first few applications. So be quick and you may get that call for an interview.
And most of the time I have realized that their positions do not specifically state experience required or even preferred in the description. I mostly see that a BSN is required.
Good luck.
Thank you avalor, I need a job now. I have been filling out applications like crazy. Thank you for your help.

I have applied 22 times for the North Shore LIJ system.. Still no answer
Yeah, LIJ is one of those places you need to keep applying. They always have openings but you need to remember you are competing with hundreds of applicants. A lot of it is a numbers game I believe. I am almost certain that there is only one or two sets of eyes in these recruitment places and they will not go over the 300+ applicants' resumes one by one, but I could be wrong. Anybody know?
