Hey all!!!

I graduated from nursing school in May 2010. I have been looking for a job ever since. I have never worked as a CNA/ or NA. Does anyone know of a hospital, clinic, doctors office, nursing home, hospice, home care agency that is hiring new grads?! Please, please help with your advice. Maybe some of you heard something by the word of mouth about openings for nw RNs..I really want to be a nurse, really bad!

Thank you so much for your input!!!

Hi! Try Lenox Hill Hospital they're hiring nurses now, I know for a fact because I'm a can there and they have a lot of postings. Good luck.

ILuvtocare, thank you so much!!! I will defenitely contact them!

Also check out Metropolitan Jewish Health Care. They dont usually hire new grads, but they hired me! Good luck!

What did you do to get hired at MJHS?? and when was it? I applied online about 2 months ago. But every time I call recruiter she says they are not hiring new grads at this time.

Don't know if you can take this as gospel truth, but ran into several Hospital for Special Surgery nurses as one was out and about running errands yesterday. They stated that HSS is hiring and does hire new grads.

IIRC, Lenox Hill lost a decent amount of nursing staff whilst going through their recent financial problems. Now that that flush with case North Shore-Long Island Jewish system owns LH, guess they are pumping funds into the place/beefing up staffing.

I went to an MJHS open house. Speaking to them in person made all the difference; I applied online too and never received a response. If you already applied online, go to one of their open interview days (they are listed on their website). Dress well and be enthusiastic about nursing and your goals. If u speak a second language that is a huge plus. Good luck!
