U.S.A. New York

Published

hey everyone. I am looking for LPN programs somewhere in the city. Ive found the VEEB program but its in Long Island and i dont want that to be my only option. Hopefully once i become a LPN i want to be a NICU RN or a pediatric nurse. Any suggestions on LPN or RN schools will be very helpful and i would greatly appreciate it :)

Specializes in Ambulatory care.

Hello Tatiana.Lewis08, the CUNY's offer the best deal for monies. There's cuny: bronx community college, queensboro, laguardia and borough of manhattan community colellege. THe private colleges are very expensive. I went to laguardia and wrote a post up on it for nursing so take a look at this link: https://allnurses.com/new-york-state/laguardia-community-college-703984.html

If attending private colleges make sure they're legit as in they're listed in the board of nursing state of new york. If a school promises that you can do it online = fake. You can only do online nursing if you already hold an RN license.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Moved to NY State Nursing Programs to elicit more response. Good luck.

HHC and the DOE offer it once a year for $2500 or free is you get the scholarship. They have 3 locations Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Roosevelt Island. Check the NYC.gov website for more info.

Also google or bing office of professions and get a listing of nursing programs in NYC from HHA all the way to RN. I would suggest you cross reference any RN programs with NLN website to see if they're accredited or at the least listed for candidacy.

Hope this help and best of luck :-)
