Long Island University Accelerated Summer 2015

U.S.A. New York

Hello everyone!

I would like to apply to Long Island University's Accelerated Nursing program for the Summer 2015 start. However, I cannot seem to find much information on the program. I checked the website and know what pre-reqs are required and about the entrance exam. But, I could not find the deadline to apply to the program. Does anyone know the deadline to apply? I would appreciate any input from any students that are already accepted or are current students of the program.

Thanks,

Justin

Hope you find info soon. Did you try a search?

Yes, I've searched many other posts on here about LIU, but no one has mentioned the application deadline. I'll call admissions and see if they can help me with this matter. Thanks!

Deadline is March 31st.

Thank you Applesauce520! I filled out the application for admission and I am just waiting to receive my login info. Do you know if any letters of recommendation or a personal statement are required? I'm trying to get everything in by the deadline. Thanks

Hey, I applied to LIU as well and both are required. Even if you included your essay in the application, send it via mail as well. Wait for the email that tells you the address to forward your supplemental information to.

Hi everyone,

I am also interested in applying to LIU's program. Do you know if we are supposed to apply as a transfer?

Thanks!

Yes I believe so, because that's what I did. A call to the nursing department might be helpful because their website was very vague. Good luck!

Hey all!

Current accelerated student at LIU here. I'm graduating this summer. If you have any questions related to the program itself ask away! I'd love to help. I'll be honest, the program is very difficult but all nursing programs are. As long as you meet their requirements you should be fine getting into the program

Hi 2ndDegfuturCRNA,

So great of you to reply to this thread.. I really appreciate it. Could you perhaps give me feedback about how clinicals are and how administration and faculty is? I was reading other threads that seemed to strongly discourage applicants from applying to liu..

If you do not mind sharing-- what were your stats entering this program?

Thank You. much appreciated!

Also, when would this program be starting if we get accepted? Does anyone know?

Hi everyone,

I got accepted into the accelerated program that starts in June 2015 so was wondering if anyone else got in yet? I'm currently deciding between LIU's and CNR's accelerated programs (CNR is 18 months starting this July)...any thoughts? I'm leaning towards CNR but LIU is offering me a lil scholarship $ which will help cut the tuition cost by a bit. Anyone else deciding between 2 schools? So nervous to be starting the professional phase this summer...I know it will be a lot of hard work and dedication but WE CAN DO IT. Good luck everyone.
