What are some hospital and doctor's office job or positions for nursing students?

This is a great thread about non-CNA jobs in clinical settings. HTH!

Specializes in Neurosurgery, Neurology.

I'd say look for PCA/PCT (Patient Care Associate/Technician) jobs. It includes all of what you can do as a CNA (these jobs sometimes ask for a CNA cert anyway), plus draw blood, do EKGs, and various other things depending on the hospital. Many hospitals also have tuition reimbursement, which is great. Many of my fellow PCAs at work are also in nursing school (some are also in, or applying to, other types of health professional schools), and a number of the nurses started out as PCAs/PCTs (including my nurse manager).

I have a few friends who worked as monitor techs in hospitals and had great experiences too.
