Hunter-Bellevue School Of Nursing Admissions!

U.S.A. New York

Hello to all!

I am currently a student at CUNY Hunter College hoping to apply to Hunter's nursing program at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. To those who are applying as well or who have already been accepted/graduated, I was wondering if you could tell me what the best GPA and NLN Exam score would be that would guarantee acceptance? And if you've already been accepted, what was your GPA and NLN Exam score?

I currently have a 3.7 GPA (it would have been higher but I received a C in Organic Chemistry) but I still have a couple more classes to take so it might get higher if I do better and I still didn't take the NLN Exam but I am currently studying for it. Is a 3.7 a good enough GPA for Hunter's nursing program?

Thank you to all who answered!

Hunter changed their requirements this year and apparently you cant receive a prereq grade lower than a B for admissions to the program

^^ not true.

Last acceptance to traditional Generic Pathway program will be Fall 2013.

Your C in orgo is fine as long as you're applying for entry in Fall 2013.

im in the program now and i had a 3.52 GPA and a 134 (i bought the book a week before my test but if i bought it earlier def would have done better) i believe which is clearly nothing special and i got in so i think you should be in good standing..just try to do well on the test and you should be fine =]

Hey toussaint03. I have a 3.6 and 138 on the NLN. Do you think I have a chance of getting in besides the fact they are now accepting only 50 students? When you got accepted, did you just make the cut?

Are you guys applying to traditional generic or accelerated?

If traditional generic, C is ok in science prereq.

If accelerated, requirements have changed and must have B in science prereqs.

Hey Lebron123 sorry I just saw this. I hate that they don't notify you for things like this.

I mean from my experience I didnt think I would get in because when I was applying the average nln scores of the year before were 145-155 so I was like damn I didn't get in but ended up actually getting in. I forget exactly what my year's range was but I think it was like low to mid 130s to low to mid 140s. Im not sure if I just made the cut or not because they don't tell you that stuff but in my head I think I just made it or got really really lucky haha. From what you say it sounds like you're in pretty good standing. I don't wana say you're a shoe in because I honestly don't know what they are looking for or how many people are applying to the traditional program as opposed to the new one. All I can say is be positive, try not to beat yourself up about it because it'll just stress you out, and keep your fingers crossed because that's pretty much what I did!

Hey toussaint03. This process is so stressing, but thanks for the heads-up. You gave me much confidence! i just hope I get in.....

Gpa is 3.8 nln is 98 but I am retaking it what should I aim for
