french nurse studying for Rn-Nclex exam

Hi,

I'm a french Registered Nurseand moved to New York 1 Year ago.

I pass the CNA exam in manhattan 7 month ago, hoping that i can find a job in New York until i pass my RN-Nclex exam

I heard that a foreign nurse is allowed to work in the state as a Lpn with Limited permit licence but apparently it seems to be difficult to find a job as a lpn even with CGFNS approvment( Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) .

I miss working in the medical environment and need some advices in how can i find a job as a nurse with my qualifications.

i would also be happy to meet some students who are studying for the nclex exam, it can be fun to work together.

Hi Sylvie !

I'm really thinking to moved in New York and learn english with my Cousin (Who is American), I'm working in Paris since 2 years now as Registered Nurse in psychiatrie but at the emergency in a Paris'Hospital !

I already started approaches to become a nurse in NYC, but I really need advices ans your experience! I didn't know the CNA exam.

Do you know if I can find a job as Pratical nurse to become and after becoming a Registered nurse?

What visa are you looking at living in the US with? CNA will not get you a visa same goes for LPN
