Can anyone tell me how lenient is Wagner College when it comes to financial aid?

Hello everyone,

I applied to Wagner's second degree accelerated program. I am aware these programs are extremely expensive, but I am in a point of my life where I need to make some sound decisions about the future. I am in my mid 30's and now I am contemplating changing careers due to changes in my profession (ophthalmic dispensing). Nursing will be good for me since I have been in the healthcare field for several years now. I have a BA and want to continue to apply to nursing schools. If anyone has experience with Wagner College and their financial aid, grants, perkins loans, etc..I would appreciate it. I am putting myself through school all over again but I am very afraid of the financial burden. Please advise. :twocents::twocents::twocents:

Also, I am currently at New York City Technical College finishing my pre-requisites in for Wagner. They have a nursing program here at CityTech but it will take me years before I could get my BS in nursing and get into the workforce.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

If you already have a four year degree then generally Pell and state aid will no longer be open to you.

Aside from student loans (federal and or priviate), your other options will be to apply for whatever scholarships, grands, awards offered by Wagner or other sources.

As for "linient" don't know what you mean exactly. If your tution bills aren't paid, Wagner won't allow you to attend classes (well not for long anyway :D).

Thanks, yes I am very aware of that.
